  Before changing it, bleed the primary circuit and make sure the pump is working properly: air in the circuit can cause the same fault as a faulty detector.

  The boiler locks itself shortly after starting, as if it suddenly loses water.

  Cause: The detector stops sending circulation signals, usually because the internal mechanism is jammed or dirty.

  Check the filter of the circuit before the sensor: the dirt accumulated there is the most common cause of an intermittent fault like this.

  There is no signal from the flow sensor, even when the boiler is clearly circulating water.

  Cause: The sensor does not generate a pulse or contact even though there is flow, which indicates that the internal element is broken or disconnected.

  Check the continuity of the wiring and the connector of the detector before replacing the complete part; sometimes the fault is in the connection, not in the sensor.
