• 01

  You turn on the hot water tap and the boiler does not ignite the burner, although it works for heating.

  Cause: The flow switch does not detect the flow of water, so the control board never receives the command to start the burner in DHW mode.

  Before changing it, check the cold water inlet filter: if it is clogged with limescale or dirt, the flow decreases so much that the detector does not activate.

  The water comes out hot for a few seconds and then cools down, as if the boiler hesitates.

  Cause: The internal paddle of the sensor gets stuck due to lime and intermittently loses contact as water passes through.

  Check the actual flow rate by opening the tap to the maximum (for example, using a bucket and a stopwatch); if it is low, the problem may be before the sensor, not with it.

  The boiler heats well for heating but never provides hot water.

  Cause: It is the typical diagram of a flow switch that does not close the contact: the DHW circuit depends on that signal to turn on the burner.

  Also check the main shut-off valve and ensure that there are no other elements cutting off the water before the sensor, in order to avoid dismissing simpler causes.

  A leak or drip appears in the area where the sensor is mounted.

  Cause: The O-rings that seal the sensor harden over time and heat, and stop performing their function.

  Before declaring the part as broken, check if the dripping stops by slightly tightening the fitting or by just replacing the seals.
