Guide

How to check if the reference BI1313103 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1313103. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the gas valve BI1313103 resolves.

The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The boiler does not ignite or locks up as soon as the burner starts.

Cause: The gas valve does not allow the necessary gas to pass for the burner to ignite on the first attempt.

Before changing it, check that the gas shut-off valve is fully open and that there is no air left in the line after a recent intervention.

  • 02

The burner does not modulate, it remains stuck at a fixed power.

Cause: A fault in one of the two coils EV1/EV2 breaks the 1:1 air/gas ratio and the modulation stops adjusting.

Check that the fan and the air pressure intake are functioning properly: a fault there also prevents modulation even if the gas valve is in good condition.

  • 03

There is a smell of gas near the boiler, especially around the area of the gas valve.

Cause: A gasket or the body of the gas valve can lose tightness and allow gas to escape even if the burner is functioning normally.

Shut off the gas and ventilate immediately; locate the exact point with soapy water before deciding whether to replace the gas valve.

  • 04

The boiler starts but shuts down a few seconds after igniting.

Cause: The retention coil does not keep the valve open long enough for the flame to stabilize.

Check the ionization electrode before replacing the gas valve: a poor connection there causes the same fault.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
