How to check if the reference 3980I626 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 3980I626. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 3980I626 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler remains completely off, with no indicator lights or sound when connected.
Cause: The PCB is not supplying power to the control circuits, due to a blown fuse or a fault in the internal power supply.
Check with the multimeter that mains power is entering the PCB and inspect the fuse before declaring it faulty.
- 02
An error code appears on the display that changes every time you reset the boiler.
Cause: The PCB fails to read the signals from the sensors and generates errors that do not correspond to any real fault.
Note the different fault codes that appear; if they are not always the same, check the indicated component in each case first.
- 03
The boiler turns on and shortly after it shuts off by itself, without any warning appearing on the screen.
Cause: An intermittent fault in the electronics randomly interrupts the ignition sequence.
Note how long it takes to cut off each time you reset it; if the time changes significantly, rule out the temperature sensors first.
- 04
The fan or the pump continues to operate even though the boiler no longer has demand.
Cause: A relay on the PCB has stuck and continues to power the component even though the control unit no longer requests it.
Disconnect the affected component with the boiler turned off and check if the relay on the PCB is still supplying power.
Fault codes for Ferroli that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| A02 | Flame signal present with burner off. | The PCB (ABM01A board) may give a false ionization reading due to a fault in the detection circuit or internal leakage; check wiring/electrode and, if it persists, measure ionization current and test/reprogram or replace the PCB. |
| F04 | Anomaly in the parameters of the control board. | PCB parameters misconfigured/corrupted (EEPROM); check in technical menu and reprogram/autoset (e.g., parameters b**/q**); if it doesn't save or reappears, the PCB is damaged and must be replaced. |
| F05 | Anomaly in the parameters of the control board. | Incorrect programming/parameterization of the PCB or internal fault of the control board; verify and correct parameters in the technical menu or load default values; if the anomaly persists after reprogramming, replace the PCB. |
| F07 | Anomaly in the parameters of the control board. | Parameter/EEPROM error in the PCB causing control lockout; verify and reprogram parameters in the technical menu; if it reappears, confirm with temporary card substitution or replace the PCB. |
| A23 | Anomaly in the parameters of the control board. | Incorrect programming/parameterization of the PCB (e.g., factory settings lost); check by performing a reset/programming of the board and, if not corrected, update or replace the PCB. |
| A24 | Anomaly in the parameters of the control board. | Fault/alteration of the PCB programming that requires reparameterization or loading correct values; if the board does not allow recording or the error returns, replace the PCB. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
