The plate heat exchanger of the Niagara Delta 30 FF boiler transfers heat from the primary circuit to the domestic hot water instantly. When it fails, the water comes out lukewarm or shows fluctuating temperatures, in addition to reducing the flow of hot water. This heat exchanger is compatible with several ranges, including models from the Aludra, Calydra, Elexia, Genus, Maya, MC2, Mira, and Primaxia series, among others. Common symptoms and faults

The hot water does not reach the temperature you set on the control.
Cause: Limescale obstructs the exchange between the primary circuit and the domestic hot water circuit.
Measure the actual temperature with a thermometer at the tap closest to the boiler before ruling out other causes.

When opening the tap, the water takes time to come out hot and then the temperature varies.
Cause: The flow through the plates is irregular due to uneven scaling.
Test in various taps in the house: if it only occurs in the farthest one, it may be an installation issue and not a problem with the heat exchanger.

Water is leaking in the area of the heat exchanger.
Cause: A joint or weld in the plate pack has lost its tightness.
Locate the exact point of the dripping with the boiler off and running, to confirm that it comes from there and not from a nearby hose.

The water from the radiators comes out cloudy or with dark residues after intensive use of hot water.
Cause: An internal microcrack allows water from one circuit to mix with the other.
Bleed a radiator after intense use of domestic hot water and check if dirty water comes out; it is important to confirm this before replacing the part.
