The boiler ignites and operates, but the radiators do not heat or heat very little.
Cause: The pump does not move the necessary flow of water through the heating circuit, even though the burner operates normally.
Check that the pump is spinning and is not blocked by touching its casing: if it vibrates but does not move water, bleed the circuit before replacing it.

There is a buzzing or strange noise in the pump area.
Cause: Air in the rotor, cavitation due to low pressure, or a worn bearing generate that characteristic noise.
Check the circuit pressure on the manometer and bleed the air from the system before declaring the pump faulty.

Water or moisture is dripping right under the pump.
Cause: The mechanical seal of the shaft has worn out and no longer seals the passage of water.
Locate whether the leak is coming from the pump body itself and not from a nearby joint or fitting before replacing it.

The pump makes a buzzing sound but the shaft does not rotate, or it does not start at all.
Cause: The rotor has seized up, something typical after being idle for months in summer, due to deposits or accumulated scale.
With the boiler turned off, try to free the shaft by turning the front screw with a flat screwdriver before assuming that it needs to be replaced.

The radiators are cold even though the boiler indicates that it is operating normally.
Cause: Without water circulation, the heat generated does not reach the heating circuit even though the burner ignites properly.
Check that the radiator and circuit shut-off valves are open before considering the pump.
