Cause: The valve seat does not seal and allows water to escape even without pressure spikes.
With the system cold, check the pressure on the gauge: if it is within the normal range and it continues to drip, the fault is in the seal, not the pressure.

The heating circuit loses pressure and needs to be refilled from time to time.
Cause: A slow and steady leak through the valve can go unnoticed and result in that progressive loss.
Also check the expansion vessel and bleed the radiators before assuming it's the valve.

The valve leaks water just when the boiler heats strongly.
Cause: If the circuit exceeds the set pressure of 3 bar at that moment, the valve acts as it should to protect the installation.
Check the cold fill pressure and the condition of the expansion vessel before replacing the valve: if it is discharged, the pressure rises too much when heating.

After bleeding the valve, it continues to drip and doesn't fully close.
Cause: Lime deposits on the seat can prevent the valve from resealing after bleeding.
Bleed several times in a row with force; if the jet cleans the seat and then closes, it wasn't necessary to replace it.
