How to check if the part number BI1131100 is the one for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1131100. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve BI1131100 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
Water is continuously leaking from the drain pipe of the valve.
Cause: The pressure of 3 bar can easily be exceeded if the expansion vessel does not cushion properly or if the gas valve seat does not close correctly.
With the boiler cold, check the pressure on the manometer: if it is around 1-1.5 bar and it continues to drip, the problem is with sealing, not overpressure.
- 02
The heating circuit needs to be filled up frequently because the pressure drops.
Cause: A constant drip from the valve, even if small, can go unnoticed and explain that gradual loss.
Place a container under the drain for a few hours to confirm if it drips before assuming it is the gas valve.
- 03
After bleeding the valve, water continues to flow and it does not seal when the lever is released.
Cause: Lime scale or dirt residues on the seat prevent the gas valve from sealing again after bleeding.
Bleed the valve several times forcefully; if the jet carries away dirt and then closes, it didn't need to be replaced.
- 04
The valve leaks water just when the boiler is heating at full capacity.
Cause: If the expansion vessel is discharged, the pressure rises excessively when heating, and the valve opens to protect the circuit.
Check the air pressure of the expansion vessel with the system empty before replacing the gas valve.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
