Expansion Vessel Boiler Fagor FE-24AE/1N Ref. MU0500126
If you notice that the pressure of your boiler fluctuates sharply and the safety valve is leaking, you may need a Fagor FE-24AE/1N expansion vessel. This part is responsible for absorbing the increase in water volume when heated, thus preventing issues in the system. It is installed in models such as Premium Evo, FE24EA1N, and 24 NFFI, among others. Replacement is necessary when the membrane breaks or there is a loss of charge, which affects the performance of the boiler.

How to check if ref. MU0500126 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference MU0500126. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the expansion vessel MU0500126 resolves.
The expansion vessel absorbs the expansion of water when heated. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The pressure in the circuit drops after bleeding the radiators.
Cause: When bleeding, air is released and, if the expansion vessel does not have enough pre-charge, the pressure is insufficient to maintain the system.
Re-pressurize with the filling key to the usual cold value and check if it remains for a few hours; if it drops again, it could be the expansion vessel.
- 02
The safety valve frequently trips, especially when the boiler has been on for a while.
Cause: A vessel that does not absorb well allows the pressure to rise when the water is heated and expands.
Note the cold pressure and check the manometer after 15-20 minutes of operation; a rapid and large increase indicates a problem with the expansion vessel.
- 03
There are banging noises in the pipes when turning the boiler on or off.
Cause: Without the air cushion in the expansion vessel, flow changes are transmitted as shocks to the system.
Make sure that there are no shut-off valves closed between the expansion vessel and the circuit before discarding the vessel.
- 04
The pressure of the expansion vessel is below normal.
Cause: The air in the vessel is slowly escaping through the valve or through a crack in the membrane, which prevents proper pre-charge.
With the circuit depressurized, measure with an air pressure gauge at the Schrader valve of the expansion vessel and compare it with the usual filling pressure of the boiler.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
