How to check if ref. S1009500 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference S1009500. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor S1009500 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The extractor does not start when the ignition is activated, or it takes longer than usual to start up.
Cause: The motor loses power with use and struggles to overcome the initial starting inertia.
Check if it starts on the second or third attempt when you power it on: that intermittent pattern indicates that the motor is starting to fail.
- 02
Strange noise or vibration in the extractor
Cause: It is a sign of a worn bearing: the shaft no longer rotates centered and rubs.
With the boiler unplugged, manually move the turbine and check for lateral play or if it is difficult to turn, before replacing the part.
- 03
The boiler is locking out due to a fault with the pressure switch.
Cause: If the extractor does not reach the required flow rate, the pressure switch does not close the contact and the control board locks.
Before changing the extractor, check that the silicone tubes of the pressure switch are not perforated, loose, or filled with condensation.
Fault codes from Saunier Duval that this spare part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F2 | Safety Flue Terminal (SFT) or pressure switch. | The flue extractor/fan does not start or does not provide sufficient flow, the air pressure switch does not switch, and the boiler enters SFT. Check voltage to the motor (≈230 V on demand), fan rotation/consumption, and that the pressure switch closes with the fan running. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
