  You open the hot water tap and the boiler does not ignite the burner, although it does work for heating.

  Cause: The flow switch does not detect the water flow or does not close the contact that gives the order to ignite the burner.

  Open the tap to maximum flow: if it ignites with more flow, the problem is with the minimum flow, not necessarily the flow switch.

  The water comes out hot for a moment and then cuts off, as if the boiler is hesitating to ignite.

  Cause: The paddle or contact of the flow switch fails intermittently and loses the flow signal during medium demand.

  Check if the cold water inlet filter is dirty or has limescale: an irregular flow through the filter gives the same symptom.

  There is no domestic hot water at any tap in the house, although the heating works without any issues.

  Cause: Without a signal from the flow switch, the control unit does not give the order to ignite the burner for domestic hot water, even if the rest of the boiler is working fine.

  Check that the cold water inlet valve to the boiler is fully open before considering the flow switch.

  The flow of domestic hot water has decreased significantly compared to before, although some water is still coming out.

  Cause: Lime or dirt buildup on the flow switch paddle prevents it from moving normally and properly activating the contact.

  Check if the flow of cold water, without heating, has also decreased: if so, the problem is before the flow switch.
