• 01

  The boiler does not ignite the burner when the hot water tap is opened, even though there is mains pressure.

  Cause: The flow meter does not detect the flow of water and the PCB does not receive the command to start the production of domestic hot water (DHW).

  Turn on the tap to maximum flow and check if the boiler activates with more water pressure.

• 02

  The tap water is lukewarm or cold even though the heating works normally.

  Cause: The flow meter fault affects only the domestic hot water circuit, not the heating circuit.

  Check the cold water inlet filter in case dirt is reducing the flow below the minimum detection level.

• 03

  The boiler intermittently detects the demand for domestic hot water: sometimes it turns on and other times it doesn't.

  Cause: The turbine or the internal magnet of the flow meter moves irregularly, and the signal reaches the PCB intermittently.

  Check that there is no lime scale or debris accumulated in the duct that could slow down the turbine before replacing the part.

• 04

  There is no domestic hot water production even though the rest of the boiler ignites and heats the heating well.

  Cause: The flow meter is the one that informs the control unit that there is a demand for domestic hot water; if it doesn't send the signal, the boiler does not switch to that mode.

  Check that the three-way valve moves when the tap is opened before blaming the flow meter.
