SIT 845 SIGMA Gas Valve for Hermann Micra 23 SE Boiler - Ref. 022002574
Gas valve manufactured by SIT (SIT S.p.A., Padova, Italy), model 845 SIGMA, suitable for common gas types (ALLGAS). It fits in Hermann boilers Habitat 23 SE, Micra 23 E, Micra 23 SE, and Micra 28 SE. It is equivalent to the manufacturer reference SIT 845 SIGMA cod. 0845057. It is replaced when there is a failure in the gas supply to the burner or the valve does not open correctly.

How to check if the reference 022002574 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 022002574. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 022002574 resolves.
The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler tries to ignite, a spark is heard, but the flame does not light.
Cause: The gas valve does not open the gas flow to the burner even though the control board sends the command.
Check that the ignition electrode sparks correctly and that there is gas pressure at the inlet before assuming that the gas valve is faulty.
- 02
The boiler locks out a few seconds after attempting to ignite.
Cause: If the gas valve does not open in time, the control board detects that there is no flame and cuts the cycle for safety.
Check the fault code on the display: if it indicates repeated flame failure, first check the ionization electrode and the wiring of the gas valve.
- 03
It smells like gas near the boiler, especially when starting up.
Cause: A worn valve body or a damaged internal gasket can allow gas to pass through even when it is closed.
With the boiler turned off and the gas valve closed, visually check for any moisture or debris in the connections of the gas valve before considering it faulty.
- 04
The boiler starts up fine one day and the next day there is no way to turn it on.
Cause: An intermittent fault in the solenoid of the gas valve causes irregular ignitions depending on whether the component heats up or cools down.
Note whether the fault occurs always when cold or hot: this helps to differentiate a problem with the gas valve from one with the electrode or the gas pressure.
Fault codes for Renova that this spare part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.28 | Ignition fault on start-up. | The misadjusted or faulty gas valve does not open/modulate the correct flow, preventing the flame from being generated or ionised; check inlet/outlet pressure and MIN/MAX adjustment with a manometer and measure continuity/ohmage of coils and power supply to the valve. |
| F.61 | Error: gas valve control. | The electronics detect a fault in the operation of the valve (coils shorted/grounded, faulty valve, or defective wiring); check the harness to the valve, coil resistance, and ensure the valve responds to the PCB control board. |
| F.62 | Error: gas valve disconnection controller. | Delayed closure or non-sealing of the valve after flame extinction; verify that the valve shuts off immediately (tightness test/manometer) and rule out a jammed valve or internal leakage. |
| F.88 | Fault in the gas valve. | The boiler detects a gas valve not connected/poorly connected or faulty; check connectors, polarity, and coil continuity, and replace the valve if it does not operate. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
