Honeywell Gas Valve VK4105N For Saunier Duval Thelia 30 E
Honeywell gas valve type VK4105N, manufactured in the Netherlands, for Saunier Duval boilers from the Thelia, Themis, Sylva, and Master Twin ranges. It combines two solenoids (V1+V2, class B+D) that control the opening and closing of the gas flow to the burner. It is replaced when the boiler does not ignite or is blocked due to a valve opening failure.

How to check if ref. 56019 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 56019. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 56019 resolves.
The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The burner clicks on but does not ignite.
Cause: If either of the two solenoids (V1 or V2) does not open, the gas will not reach the burner even if the electrode sparks correctly.
Check that the ignition electrode is sparking continuously and that there is gas in the supply line.
- 02
The boiler locks out a few seconds after attempting to start.
Cause: The ignition sequence requires both solenoids to open simultaneously; if one fails, the control unit shuts down for safety.
Check the lockout code on the display: if it is repetitive and always the same, first inspect the wiring up to the valve.
- 03
Some days it starts on the first try, and other days it takes several attempts.
Cause: A solenoid that starts to fail may open irregularly depending on temperature or wear, causing inconsistent ignitions.
Note if the fault always occurs when cold: it helps differentiate a valve problem from a gas pressure issue.
- 04
There is a gas smell near the gas valve when starting.
Cause: A deteriorated internal gasket in the valve body can allow gas to escape at the moment of opening.
With the boiler off and the gas shut off, check that there is no smell or moisture in the connections before replacing the part.
Fault codes from Saunier Duval that this spare part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.61 | Fault: gas valve control. | The gas valve (coils/actuation) is not responding or is short-circuited, so the electronics cannot actuate it. Check the resistance/insulation of the coils and the presence of control voltage during the ignition attempt; verify that it opens by measuring pressure at the outlet port. |
| F.62 | Error: gas valve disconnection controller. | The valve does not close in time or is not sealed (delayed closure/internal leak), so the flame signal persists after shutdown. Check for tightness and closure with a leak/pressure drop test and ensure that the ionisation signal disappears immediately when the gas is cut off. |
| F.28 | Start-up fault: ignition failed. | If the gas valve does not open or modulate, the burner does not receive gas and ignition fails. Check the control voltage at the valve during attempts and measure inlet/outlet pressures with a manometer to rule out a fault in the gas block. |
| F.27 | Safety shutdown: flame simulation. | Internal leak of the solenoid valve (does not close completely) allows gas to pass when it should be closed, and the sensor detects 'flame' out of sequence. Check valve tightness/closure with a leak test and observe ionisation current at rest. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
