Cause: The remote bulb loses tightness or the mechanism gets stuck, preventing the needle from responding to the heat of the circuit.
Check that the bulb is properly inserted into its measuring sleeve and has not come out before replacing the part.

The dial is cracked or the temperature scale is not clearly visible.
Cause: The glass of the gauge cracks due to impacts or continuous vibration from the boiler in operation.
Check if the internal mechanism is still functioning despite the crack: does the temperature of the boiler rise or fall, and observe if the needle follows the change before discarding the entire part.

There is a leak or moisture in the area of the temperature bulb.
Cause: The bulb, which is a sealed reservoir, can lose its tightness over time or due to corrosion, causing it to start leaking.
Dry the area of the bulb and its sleeve, and check again in a few hours: if moisture reappears right there, the leak is from the bulb and not from another nearby connection.

The needle moves but indicates a temperature very different from what is felt in the circuit.
Cause: The bulb may have shifted from its contact point in the sleeve, or the mechanism has lost precision with use.
Check that the bulb reaches the bottom of its immersion sleeve, without being halfway, before considering the reading as incorrect.
