Cause: The control unit does not properly detect the flame ionization signal and shuts off the gas for safety.
Clean and inspect the flame detection electrode and its cable; a dirty or improperly positioned one can cause the same symptom.

The boiler repeatedly locks out and needs to be manually reset frequently.
Cause: A fault in the control unit's management of the ignition cycle causes lockouts that can only be resolved with a manual reset.
