Plate Heat Exchanger for Boiler FE24NOX - Ref. PP16FW4R03
The plate heat exchanger for boiler FE24NOX - Ref. PP16FW4R03 transfers heat from the primary circuit to the domestic hot water instantly. When it fails, the water comes out lukewarm or shows fluctuating temperatures, and the flow of DHW decreases. This part is compatible with boilers from the FE24NOX, FE24TC, FE24TC1B, FE26TC, FE26TC1B, and FEE24NOX1N ranges, among others. It is recommended to replace it when you notice temperature or flow issues in the hot water.

How to check if it is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the plate heat exchanger resolves
The plate heat exchanger transfers heat to the domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The domestic hot water is not reaching or is coming out intermittently, although the heating is working fine.
Cause: The heat exchanger plates are clogged with limescale, and the flow of domestic hot water is not passing normally.
Measure the cold water inlet pressure and check the installation filter before assuming there is a blockage.
- 02
There is a drip or moisture visible right in the area where the heat exchanger is mounted.
Cause: The welding between the plates of the heat exchanger has lost tightness and water is leaking.
Dry the area well, turn on the boiler, and locate the exact point of the leak before disassembling anything.
- 03
The faucet takes a long time to deliver hot water or never reaches the temperature indicated by the control.
Cause: Limescale reduces the heat exchange surface and the component does not transfer enough heat.
Check the water hardness in your area and look for visible scale in other points of the circuit.
- 04
A whistle is heard when opening the hot water tap.
Cause: The gap between the plates has narrowed due to deposits, and the water is forced through.
Open the tap at a different flow rate and check if the noise changes with the pressure; this indicates obstruction.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
