Vaillant Safety Valve 10 Bar VMI 32/362-7 Ref. 190745
The safety valve releases water if the circuit pressure exceeds the limit, usually 3 bar. When it fails, you may notice that it drips continuously or that it does not discharge when it should. This valve is compatible with several models of Vaillant boilers, such as the VMI 280-7, VMI 282-7, and VMI 32/362-7, among others. It is recommended to replace it if you observe these symptoms to avoid greater issues in the system.

How to check if the reference 190745 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 190745. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the safety valve 190745 resolves.
The safety valve releases pressure when the circuit exceeds its setting. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The valve is leaking continuously even though the circuit is at normal operating pressure.
Cause: The internal seat loses tightness over time and allows a constant trickle of water to pass through.
Check the pressure on the manometer: if it is within the normal range for this boiler and it is still dripping, the issue is with the gas valve closure.
- 02
The pressure in the circuit rises and the valve does not open or release water.
Cause: If the mechanism is jammed due to scale or dirt, the spring cannot move the shutter when it reaches the setting point.
With the cold installation, operate the manual bleed lever to check if the mechanism moves easily.
- 03
After firing once, the gas valve keeps dripping without closing again.
Cause: A particle dragged during firing can become lodged in the seat and prevent complete closure.
Bleed the valve manually a couple more times: sometimes this drags out dirt and restores the sealing.
- 04
The pressure in the circuit needs to be replenished more frequently than usual.
Cause: A slow drip from the valve is lost down the drain without leaving a visible puddle, but it gradually reduces pressure.
Place a container under the drain pipe for an entire night to check if it collects water.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
