How to check if ref. 87472011760 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 87472011760. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the ignition transformer 87472011760 resolves.
The ignition transformer generates the high voltage for the spark of the electrodes. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and no spark is visible at the electrode.
Cause: The transformer does not deliver the high voltage needed by the electrode to generate the spark.
Before changing it, check that 230V is reaching the boiler and that the fuse is not blown; without input power, it won't spark even if it's functioning properly.
- 02
The boiler is locking out with an ignition fault code.
Cause: No flame detected at startup, the control board interrupts the gas supply for safety.
Check the condition of the electrode and its cable before replacing the transformer: a crack in the ceramic causes the same blockage.
- 03
The spark sounds weak or intermittent when starting the boiler.
Cause: A partially damaged winding in the transformer produces an irregular discharge instead of a firm and continuous spark.
Check the gap between the electrode tips; if it is not correct, fix that first because it mimics the same fault.
- 04
The ignition fault comes and goes; it doesn't happen every time during the same start-up.
Cause: A transformer that starts to fail due to overheating can produce a good spark when cold and fail after a while of operation.
Note if the fault occurs more often with the boiler already hot from previous starts; this helps to differentiate it from a dirty electrode.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
