Hermann Micra 2 Ignition Transformer - Honeywell AC1A114 - Ref. 52004120
Ignition transformer for Hermann boilers. It generates the high voltage necessary to produce the spark that ignites the burner. According to the label, it operates at 230V, 50-60Hz, with a working temperature range of -20 to 90 degrees C. It is replaced when the boiler fails to ignite due to lack of spark or an ignition fault occurs.

How to check if ref. 52004120 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 52004120. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the ignition transformer 52004120 resolves.
The ignition transformer generates the high voltage for the spark of the electrodes. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and there is no spark at the electrode, although the fan and gas are functioning normally.
Cause: The transformer does not deliver the high voltage needed by the electrode to produce the spark.
With the fan and gas operating, check the electrode and its cable.
- 02
There is a fault or ignition lockout while everything else is in order.
Cause: If a flame is not detected within the safety time, the control unit cuts off the gas and displays the warning.
Check the electrode tip spacing and ensure there is no soot; if it is fine, then suspect the transformer.
- 03
The spark is intermittent or weak at the electrode.
Cause: A damaged winding in the transformer causes irregular discharges instead of a steady spark.
Check the ground connection of the burner before replacing the coil: a poor ground can cause the same effect.
- 04
The ignition fault mainly occurs during cold starts, early in the morning.
Cause: The condensation humidity accumulated overnight can cause the transformer to lose voltage or divert the spark to ground.
If the fault occurs more frequently during the first start of the day, check for visible moisture in the area of the transformer and the electrode.
Fault codes Hermann that this part solves
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Ignition fault / incorrect combustion. | Defective ignition transformer (accenditore): it does not supply high voltage to the electrodes, there is no spark, and the electronics do not detect a flame, resulting in a lockout with 01. Check for the presence of a spark at startup, power supply to the accenditore, and continuity of the HT cable/electrode. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
