The boiler pressure drops and it needs to be replenished often.
Cause: The valve does not close properly and allows water to continuously flow into the circuit.
Close the valve completely and check if the pressure gauge rises with the boiler cold and stopped for several hours; if it rises on its own, the valve is not sealing.

Water or moisture appears on the stem even when the valve is closed.
Cause: The internal seal of the stem has lost its tightness due to use.
Dry the area well and check if it becomes damp again after a while with the valve closed, without touching anything else.

It is difficult to turn it or it gets stuck halfway through the movement.
Cause: The accumulation of limescale from the mains water blocks the internal mechanism.
Try to move it gently in both directions; if it doesn't give, do not force it with tools as you may break the body.

The rubber cap is broken, cracked, or missing.
Cause: It is the part most exposed to the environment of the boiler room and degrades first.
Check if the stem underneath rotates normally before considering that the key is lost.
