Stock · 5 units

The burner ramp Vaillant VMW/VUW 282/2-5 is a component that mixes air and gas to sustain the flame that heats the heat exchanger of the boiler. If it has faults, you may notice difficulties in ignition, an irregular flame, strange noises, or lockouts due to a flame failure. This part is compatible with several boiler models, including THERMOcompact 628 E, TURBOMAX PLUS 828E VUW 282/2-5, and others from the VM, VMW, VU, and VUW ranges. It is recommended to replace it when it shows signs of wear or dirt that affect its performance.

Guide

How to check if ref. 031501 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 031501. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the burner 031501 resolves.

The burner performs the combustion of gas. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

Some nozzles on the manifold ignite while others remain off.

Cause: The nozzles are blocked by dirt or internal corrosion, which prevents the flow of gas at those points.

Clean the nozzles one by one with compressed air or a fine needle and check if they all ignite before replacing the rail.

  • 02

The flame appears yellowish or unstable instead of the usual blue.

Cause: Worn or dirty nozzles alter the air and gas mixture in the burner.

Check the flame with the burner clean of dust around it; if it remains yellow in a specific section, locate that nozzle before replacing the entire rail.

  • 03

The boiler turns on and off by itself after a few seconds.

Cause: The thermocouple or sensor does not detect the flame in time, and the control board cuts off the gas for safety, even though the burner is functioning properly.

Check that the thermocouple or sensor is properly centered in the flame and that its connection to the gas valve is not loose.

  • 04

Corrosion, rust, or small holes are visible on the metal body of the manifold.

Cause: It is natural wear of the metal after years of combustion and humidity, which compromises the gas distribution tightness.

Inspect the ramp with a flashlight looking for perforations before deciding on the replacement.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
