Cointra E20I thermometer

Cointra E20I thermometer

Stock · 1 unit

In the Cointra E20I boilers, the Cointra E20I thermometer measures and controls the temperature of the circuit. If it fails, you will notice incorrect readings, which can cause the boiler to lock out due to a false pressure drop or not regulate the temperature properly. This thermometer is compatible with the E20I model, among other boilers in the range. It should be replaced when you observe these irregularities in its operation.

Guide

How to check if it is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference —. If it is not visible, do not identify the part by its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the manometer resolves

The manometer shows the pressure of the boiler circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The needle does not move even though the boiler is hot.

Cause: The capillary has lost tightness and the liquid that measures the temperature is no longer present.

Locate the capillary and check if it is pinched, bent, or shows signs of leakage.

  • 02

Set a fixed temperature that does not change when turning the boiler on or off.

Cause: The sensor bulb may have partially come out of its sheath and is no longer in contact with the water.

Check that the bulb is properly inserted into the sleeve before replacing the part.

  • 03

The dial is unreadable due to scratches, breakage, or fogging of the glass.

Cause: It is damage to the instrument's casing, not necessarily to the mechanism that measures the temperature.

If the needle moves when heating, assess whether the issue is purely aesthetic and it is not urgent to replace the thermostat.

  • 04

During maintenance, it is detected that the reading does not match the actual temperature of the circuit.

Cause: With use, the capillary mechanism loses accuracy before it stops indicating altogether.

Compare the reading with a clamp thermometer on the same pipe to confirm the deviation.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
