Grundfos Circulating Pump Fagor Contract CE-20E/1 N Ref. MU1203100
The Grundfos Fagor Contract CE-20E/1 N circulator pump, with reference MU1203100, is responsible for moving water through the heating circuit in your boiler. If it fails, you will notice cold radiators, unusual noises, or overheating due to a lack of water circulation. It is compatible with the Fagor Contract CE range, including the Contract CE 20E 1N model, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms are detected or if the fault code E7 appears: water pressure in the boiler absent / incorrect pump operation.

How to check if ref. MU1203100 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference MU1203100. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the circulation pump MU1203100 resolves.
The circulation pump circulates the water in the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
No water circulates in either the heating or the domestic hot water, as if the boiler isn't moving anything.
Cause: The impeller may be blocked or the motor may not be turning, which prevents the water from moving in both circuits.
Check if the shaft rotates freely (by hand, with the boiler off) before replacing the pump.
- 02
An abnormal noise or vibration is noticeable in the pump during operation.
Cause: This is usually due to air in the circuit or scale buildup in the impeller, not a fault of the motor.
Bleed the circuit and the pump before considering that the part is damaged.
- 03
The burner ignites normally but the boiler does not heat.
Cause: If there is no water circulation, heat does not reach the radiators or the circuit, even though combustion is functioning correctly.
Check that the radiators heat evenly and that there is sufficient pressure in the circuit before replacing the pump.
Fault codes for Fagor that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| E1 | Outlet temperature > maximum service temperature. | If the circulating pump (UPS 15-50) is seized/faulty, there is no flow, the flow pipe rises quickly, and the boiler locks out; check the bleed, turn the rotor through the front plug, and check the pump's power supply/wiring. |
| E2 | Return temperature > outlet temperature. | The lack of circulation due to a blocked pump causes thermal inversion, and the control detects a hotter return; confirm that the UPS 15-50 starts upon demand, free the rotor, and check wiring/power supply. |
| E7 | Water pressure in boiler absent / incorrect pump operation. | If the pump does not move water, the pressure switch/PCB interprets a lack of pressure/flow and locks; check the pressure gauge and leaks, unblock the rotor using the front screw and measure that the UPS 15-50 receives 230 V. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
