The circulation pump circulates the water in the heating circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

• 01

  The radiators do not heat up even though the boiler ignites and goes through its normal cycle.

  Cause: If the pump does not move water, the heat from the heat exchanger does not reach the heating circuit.

  Check that the circuit shut-off valves and the radiator valves are open before inspecting the pump.

• 02

  There is noticeable noise or strong vibration when starting the pump.

  Cause: Trapped air in the circuit or insufficient water pressure cause the pump to cavitate and vibrate upon starting.

  Bleed the circuit and check the pressure on the manometer of the boiler before changing the pump.

• 03

  The pump does not start or stops by itself shortly after being turned on.

  Cause: A jammed impeller or the motor's thermal protection stops the pump to avoid forcing it.

  Try to manually free the shaft through the front slot (with the boiler cold and turned off) and try starting again.

• 04

  Water is leaking from the area of the shaft or the body of the pump.

  Cause: The mechanical seal of the shaft wears out over time and starts to leak water even though the motor operates normally.

  Dry the area and check after a while of operation if the leak reappears right at the shaft.
