Ignition Transformer ERA Ref. 8747201252 For Junkers Euromaxx ZWC24-1MFA23 (and Other Compatible Junkers/Bosch Models)
Ignition transformer manufactured by ERA, installed as a spare part in boilers marketed by Junkers/Bosch. Reference engraved on the piece: 8747201252, confirmed by two independent sources in addition to the label. According to the silkscreen, it operates at 230 V on the primary (50/60 Hz) with an output of 25 V 34 VA on the main secondary. It is replaced when the boiler fails to ignite due to a lack of spark at the electrode.

How to check if ref. 8747201358 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 8747201358. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the ignition transformer 8747201358 resolves.
The ignition transformer generates the high voltage for the spark of the electrodes. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite, although it is noticeable that the control board is making an attempt.
Cause: The transformer does not generate enough voltage for the spark to jump at the electrode.
Check that the transformer connector is properly fitted and free of signs of moisture or rust before replacing it.
- 02
The boiler takes several attempts to ignite, sometimes two or three starts before it lights up.
Cause: An unstable voltage output from the transformer causes the spark to be weak in some attempts and sufficient in others.
Check the electrode tip: if it is worn or the gap is open, it can produce the same symptom even if the transformer is not faulty.
- 03
There is no visible spark at the electrode, although the boiler can be heard trying to ignite.
Cause: The primary of the transformer can receive power, but the secondary does not deliver the high output voltage.
With a multimeter, measure if 230V is reaching the primary; if it does and there is still no spark, the transformer is clearly suspect.
- 04
The boiler locks out due to an ignition fault and needs to be reset to try again.
Cause: If no spark or flame is detected within the safety time, the control board cuts off the gas and locks the unit.
Check if the blockage occurs always on the first attempt or only sometimes, as this helps to distinguish between a completely faulty transformer and one that fails intermittently.
Fault codes from Junkers that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F7 | The boiler does not ignite properly. | The ionization signal is incorrect, which may be due to a dirty or faulty ignition transformer. If the boiler is having trouble igniting, check the transformer, as it could be the cause of the fault. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
