How to check if ref. 8747201294 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 8747201294. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the ignition transformer 8747201294 resolves.
The ignition transformer generates the high voltage for the spark of the electrodes. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The ignition attempts can be heard, but the burner does not ignite.
Cause: The transformer does not generate the necessary high voltage spark even though the control board commands the ignition.
Make sure the ignition electrode is clean and at the correct distance before replacing the transformer.
- 02
The boiler locks out due to an ignition fault and requests a reset.
Cause: If a flame is not detected within the safety time after the ignition attempt, the PCB cuts off the gas and locks the unit.
Check the wiring between the transformer and the electrode: a loose wire causes the same blockage even if the transformer is not broken.
- 03
There is no measurable voltage at the output of the transformer even though it is receiving power.
Cause: The secondary winding of the transformer is cut or degraded and does not deliver the ignition high voltage.
With a multimeter, measure that 230V is reaching the primary before concluding that the fault is in the transformer.
- 04
The ignition is weak and unstable, with the flame taking time to stabilize.
Cause: Insufficient spark voltage in the transformer makes it difficult for the gas and air mixture to ignite cleanly.
Check that the electrode is not carbonized or with a rounded tip, as this can also cause weak ignitions without the transformer failing.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
