3-Way Valve For Thematek C 24 E Boiler - Ref. S1020500
The 3-way valve for the Thematek C 24 E boiler is a component responsible for directing water between the heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit. When this valve fails, the user may notice that they receive hot water but no heating, or vice versa, or even that both circuits mix, which affects comfort in the home. This valve is compatible with other models in the Thematek range, such as the C 24 EO BT and the F 24 E, among others. It should be replaced when these symptoms of malfunction are detected.

How to check if ref. S1020500 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference S1020500. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the S1020500 three-way valve resolves.
The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
In the middle of summer, with the boiler set to DHW mode only, the radiators heat up without anyone requesting it.
Cause: The shutter of the three-way valve does not completely close the passage to heating and allows hot water to leak into the radiators.
Manually close the radiator valves and see if the problem disappears; if it persists, the fault is in the valve and not in the installation.
- 02
The hot water comes out intermittently: hot, then cold, then hot again.
Cause: The valve intermittently switches between circuits because the actuator loses strength or the stem rubs.
Observe the valve head while requesting hot water: if it moves jerkily, the problem is mechanical, not electronic.
- 03
A sharp knock or vibration is noticeable in the pipe right when the domestic hot water starts.
Cause: The sudden change in position of the worn shutter causes a small localized water hammer in the valve.
Check that the clamps securing the valve are properly tightened before attributing the issue to the part.
- 04
The boiler has been inactive for months during the winter, and now the heating won't start even though the domestic hot water works fine.
Cause: The lime scale accumulated during inactivity seizes the internal mechanism of the three-way valve.
Try to manually move the gas valve stem with the boiler cold and unplugged before replacing it.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
