Wolf Gas Valve CGB K24 - Ref. 279603699
The gas valve Wolf CGB K24 - Ref. 279603699, manufactured by SIT, regulates the flow of gas to the burner according to the indications of the control board. If it malfunctions, the boiler may fail to ignite, experience flame lockouts, or modulate incorrectly, generating fault codes 20 or 21. This valve is compatible with several boilers in the CGB range, such as the CGB-11, CGB-20, CGB-K-24, among others. It is recommended to replace it when the mentioned symptoms are detected or when experiencing irregular operation.

How to check if the reference 279603699 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 279603699. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 279603699 resolves.
The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and the display shows an ignition fault.
Cause: One of the solenoid valves of the gas valve is not allowing gas to flow to the burner.
Measure with a multimeter if 230V is reaching the gas valve before replacing it.
- 02
The boiler keeps locking out when trying to start, repeatedly.
Cause: The internal shutter does not open in time for the burner to receive gas and ignite.
Make sure that the gas valve is fully open and bleed the air from the pipe if there has been a recent intervention.
- 03
There is a smell of gas near the gas valve.
Cause: An internal gasket or a connection of the gas valve is losing tightness.
Locate the leak with soapy water before replacing the entire gas valve; it may be enough to tighten a connection.
- 04
The display shows the same ignition fault code after several attempts.
Cause: The valve does not provide the constant gas flow necessary for ignition.
Check the ignition and ionization electrode before considering the gas valve as faulty.
Fault codes for Wolf that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| 20 | Gas valve error '1' (the flame persists for 15 s after the V1 closure command). | The multigas valve (SIT Sigma 848) gets stuck or leaks in path 1: even though the PCB cuts the command, combustion continues. Check for absence of voltage in the V1 coil and persistence of flame/flow at the test point; if confirmed, replace the valve. |
| 21 | Gas valve error '2' (the flame persists for 15 seconds after the V2 closure command). | The multigas valve (SIT Sigma 848) does not close path 2 and the gas continues to pass after the command is cut. Verify that the V2 coil is not receiving voltage and that the flame/flow continues; if confirmed, replace the valve. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
