Pressure switch Ariston Genus 27 BFFI
The Ariston Genus 27 BFFI pressure switch controls the air or water pressure in the boiler, allowing it to operate properly. If this part fails, the boiler may not start or may lock out, even if the actual pressure is correct. Users may notice issues such as fault code 607, where the flue pressure switch is active before the fan starts, or fault code 608, which indicates that the flue pressure switch does not activate even though the fan is running. This pressure switch is compatible with models such as the Genus 23 MFFI, 27 MFFI, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms or fault codes are detected.

How to check if ref. 571652-01 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 571652-01. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the pressure switch 571652-01 resolves.
The pressure switch controls the air or water pressure to authorize operation. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler locks up just when turning it on, without attempting to start.
Cause: The pressure switch does not make proper contact before the fan starts, so the boiler does not begin to operate.
Make sure that the electrical connector of the pressure switch is properly plugged in and that there are no loose wires before considering replacing it.
- 02
It always fails at the same moment when turning it on.
Cause: If the pressure switch does not reach the correct pressure, it always blocks the boiler in the same phase, right after the pre-purge.
With the boiler turned off, gently blow through the pressure tube and check if you hear or feel the click of the pressure switch when it changes.
- 03
The fault occurs more often when the boiler is cold, especially in the morning.
Cause: Cold air is denser and can seal a small leak in the pressure circuit, which does not happen when it is hot.
Check the gaskets and the silicone tube for any cracks or air leaks before blaming the pressure switch.
- 04
The boiler works well for several days and then locks out for no apparent reason.
Cause: Dirt or soot accumulated in the pressure switch duct can affect the pressure reading.
Disassemble and visually check that the air duct to the pressure switch is clean and free of soot or dust.
Fault codes for Ariston that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| 607 | The flue pressure switch is active before the fan starts. | The air pressure switch seems to be closed before the fan starts to operate. This may be due to the contacts being stuck or the tube being pressed or blocked. Check the continuity of the pressure switch and the pressure difference at the intake and flue connections with a differential manometer (it should be around ~0.47 mbar at maximum power) and inspect the tubes. |
| 608 | The flue pressure switch does not activate even though the fan is running. | Even though the fan is running, the pressure switch does not close. This may be because the diaphragm is damaged, the tubes are blocked, or there is a poor fit. The PCB blocks the ignition due to lack of approval. Check that the pressure switch closes electrically when starting and measure the pressure difference with a differential manometer. Inspect the pressure switch hoses. |
| 6P1 | The air pressure switch takes time to activate. | The pressure switch takes time to close after the fan starts. This may be due to dirt, jamming of the micro switch, leaks in the pipes, or insufficient pressure difference. Check the time it takes to close and the pressure difference during startup with a differential manometer and a multimeter. |
| 6P2 | The air pressure switch opens during operation. | While the boiler is in operation, the pressure switch opens because the pressure drops. This may be due to a partial obstruction in the intake or flue, a leak in the pipes, or a faulty pressure switch. Check the stability of the contact and the pressure difference under load; inspect and replace the pressure switch if it does not maintain its state. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
