Guide

How to check if ref. 122662905 is the part for your boiler

What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.

  1. Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 122662905. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
  2. Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
  3. Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
  4. If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Diagnosis and fault codes

Symptoms and faults that the 3-way valve 122662905 resolves.

The 3-way valve diverts water between heating and domestic hot water. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:

Common symptoms and faults

  • 01

The heating works well, but the domestic hot water is either not reaching temperature or comes out lukewarm and takes a long time.

Cause: The motor does not divert the circuit to domestic hot water, often because the gear is broken or the shaft is seized.

Check if you can hear the valve motor operating when you turn on the tap; if there is complete silence, it is not receiving a command or is not responding.

  • 02

On the contrary: there is hot water at the tap but the radiators do not heat up even though the thermostat is calling for heat.

Cause: The valve has become stuck in the domestic hot water position and is not allowing heating to pass through.

Check that the pump is circulating and that the radiator valves are open before inspecting the 3-way valve.

  • 03

You notice a rattling or buzzing sound in the area of the gas valve when starting the boiler, although it then operates normally.

Cause: It is a sign that the motor is forcing the rotation against a worn gear before engaging in its position.

Check if the noise disappears after a few seconds or if it repeats with each start; if it always repeats, it is advisable to check the motor.

  • 04

There is a small drip or moisture ring just below where the three-way valve is mounted.

Cause: Over the years, the seals of the valve body lose elasticity and allow water to pass through, even though the motor is functioning well.

Dry the area, run a complete cycle, and check again: if the moisture reappears there and not in another pipe, it is the gas valve.

  • 05

The motor spins, but the boiler locks out or shows a fault code for the valve after the attempt to change.

Cause: The motor may move but not complete the stroke, and the control unit does not receive confirmation of the change.

Note if the fault occurs at the same point (when requesting domestic hot water, when requesting heating) to determine if it is the motor or the wiring.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
