  Cause: If the extractor does not spin or does not reach the necessary speed, the control unit does not detect the correct draft and cuts off the ignition for safety.

  With the boiler off, manually turn the extractor rotor if accessible: if it is difficult to turn or does not turn smoothly, the fault is in the fan.

  A rubbing noise, whistle, or loud vibration is heard when the fan is running.

  Cause: The motor bearings wear out over time or the blades accumulate dirt and lose balance.

  Listen to see if the noise changes when you gently touch the casing of the extractor with the boiler on; if it vibrates much more than normal, focus on the fan before considering any other part.

  The boiler locks out with a warning related to the draft or flue gas evacuation.

  Cause: Without the airflow provided by the extractor, the associated pressure switch does not close, and the control board interprets that there is no safe flue.

  Check that the flue pipe is not blocked by snow, leaves, or a nest, as the symptom is identical to that of a faulty extractor.

  The fan takes a long time to start, starts with jerks, or stops on its own after a few seconds.

  Cause: A damaged motor winding or a weak start capacitor does not provide enough torque to maintain stable rotation.

  Check that the boiler is receiving stable power and that there are no other devices causing a power drop when the heating is started.
