How to check if the part number BI1016108 is the one for your boiler.
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference BI1016108. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor BI1016108 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler tries to ignite, the fan can be heard starting up, and after a few seconds, it stops and locks out.
Cause: The extractor does not reach the necessary revolutions for the air pressure switch to close the contact, and the control board interrupts the cycle for safety.
With the boiler unplugged, check that the blades turn freely by hand and that there is no soot or dirt buildup that could hinder their movement.
- 02
The extractor makes a rubbing noise or a loud buzzing sound when starting that it didn't have before.
Cause: The motor bearings wear out over time and the shaft starts to rub against the casing.
Turn the rotor by hand while stationary: if you feel stiff spots or a dry rubbing, the wear is already confirmed.
- 03
The extractor does not start at all, nor can you hear it trying.
Cause: The motor winding may have burned out, leaving the part without starting torque.
Check with the multimeter that power is reaching the terminals of the fan when the boiler requests ignition, before declaring the motor faulty.
- 04
The boiler works for a while and then locks itself, especially when it has been on for a long time.
Cause: The extractor may lose revolutions when hot due to internal wear, and the pressure switch stops detecting the correct air flow.
Note if the fault occurs consistently when hot or also when cold; if it is always when hot, focus more on the extractor than on another cause.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
