Beretta Mynute Green 28 C.S. Gas Valve
The gas valve Beretta Mynute Green 28 C.S. regulates and allows the flow of gas to the burner according to the commands from the control board. If it malfunctions, the boiler may fail to ignite, experience flame lockouts, or have modulation issues. Users may notice fault codes such as A01, A11, or E021. This valve is compatible with several models from the Mynute Green range, among others. It is recommended to replace it when these symptoms or errors occur.

How to check if ref. 20039202 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 20039202. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the gas valve 20039202 resolves.
The gas valve regulates and modulates the gas flow to the burner. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler starts, makes a flame attempt, and shuts off after a few seconds.
Cause: If one of the two solenoid valves (EV1 or EV2) does not open fully, the gas does not reach the required amount and the control board locks.
Listen for the click of both solenoid valves when turning on; if one of the two clicks is missing, note it for diagnosis.
- 02
The flame flickers or goes out by itself in one mode (heating or domestic hot water) but works fine in the other.
Cause: A misalignment in one of the two solenoid valves affects differently depending on the power setting.
Compare the behavior in both modes before changing the gas valve; if it only fails in one, check the three-way valve first.
- 03
Notices a gas smell in the boiler room.
Cause: The solenoid valves or the body gaskets may not seal properly.
Shut off the main valve and ventilate; do not continue using the boiler until a technician confirms the source of the leak with a detector.
- 04
An error code related to gas or flame appears on the display.
Cause: The control unit interprets the lack of opening or irregular closing of the solenoid valves as a gas supply fault.
Note the exact code and consult it in the manual before purchasing: some point to the electrode or the pressure switch, not to the gas valve.
Fault codes for Beretta that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| A01 | Flame lockout due to ignition failure (flame not detected). | If the gas valve does not open or modulate, gas does not reach the burner and the boiler exhausts the ignition attempts; check the voltage to the valve during the attempt and input/output pressures with a manometer and, if necessary, recalibrate. |
| A11 | Parasite flame (flame detected when it shouldn't be). | A gas valve that does not close completely may allow gas to pass after shutdown and maintain a residual flame; check the valve's tightness/closure without voltage and the absence of ionisation signal with the gas cut off. |
| E021 | Defective gas valve control board. | Fault in the control board/driver of the gas valve (relay/PCB output) or its coils prevents correct operation; check the board output to the valve and the resistance/insulation of the coils, and confirm that the valve operates. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
