How to check if ref. R7242 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference R7242. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the R7242 PCB solves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not turn on and shows no signs of life on the panel.
Cause: If the power supply stage of the PCB is damaged, current does not reach the rest of the control circuit.
Check if the fuse on the PCB is blown before replacing it.
- 02
It goes through the ignition cycle but locks out halfway with a fault code.
Cause: The PCB manages the ignition sequence and shuts off if it does not validate the flame signal or another sensor in time.
Check the condition of the ionization electrode and its wiring before assuming the PCB is faulty.
- 03
The circulation pump stays on all the time, it doesn't respond to the heat demand.
Cause: A relay on the PCB that doesn't cut properly can leave the pump powered even if there is no heating demand.
Disconnect the pump directly and check if it is still receiving power with the boiler in standby.
- 04
The boiler loses its programming or parameters every time the power goes out.
Cause: The PCB saves the configuration with a backup battery or capacitor that may be depleted.
Check if the PCB has a backup battery and its condition before replacing the entire assembly.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
