Ignition PCB for Ariston Basic, Edy, and SC MFFI/MCSI boilers, manufactured by Thermowatt, model CB AT-FFI2. It controls the ignition safety times (nominal 7 s, maximum 10 s) and the 2 s delay, powered at 230 Vac - 50Hz. It is replaced when the boiler does not ignite or gets stuck during startup.

The boiler tries to ignite but locks out after a few seconds.
Cause: The PCB controls the ignition safety times; if it does not detect the correct signal in time, it cuts off the attempt and locks the boiler.
Check that the ignition electrode produces a visible spark and is clean before declaring the PCB faulty.

The burner does not receive the ignition command.
Cause: The PCB sends the signal to the electrode and the gas valve at the precise moment of startup.
Check that power is reaching the PCB and that no thermostat or safety sensor is interrupting the circuit before replacing it.

The boiler repeatedly locks out every time it tries to start.
Cause: If the safety time is exceeded without confirming the flame, the PCB cuts the cycle for safety.
Check the gas supply and pressure before replacing the PCB: a lack of gas causes the same lockout.

There is no reaction from the PCB when the ignition command is given.
Cause: If the PCB does not receive or process its power supply correctly, it does not generate any ignition sequence.
Measure with a multimeter that 230V is reaching the PCB before replacing it.
