  Neither the temperature gauge nor the pressure gauge is moving; the dial seems dead.

  Cause: The internal mechanism of both scales has jammed or broken and no longer translates what happens in the circuit.

  Make a real change (bleed a radiator, let the boiler heat for a few minutes) and observe if either of the two needles reacts.

  Only one of the two needles moves, the other one always stays in the same position.

  Cause: The temperature and pressure mechanisms are independent within the same sphere, and only one of the two has failed.

  Note which needle is unresponsive and under what circumstances, to confirm that the fault is with a single scale and not the entire component.

  The dial cannot be read clearly because it is fogged or scratched on the inside.

  Cause: Moisture has entered the body of the part and has condensed on the inner face of the glass.

  Check if the fogging disappears when heating the boiler; if it reappears consistently, the sealing of the part is failing.

  Water is dripping from the connection fitting of the part to the circuit.

  Cause: The gasket or the connection thread has lost tightness over time.

  Tighten the fitting carefully, dry the area, and check after a while to confirm that the dripping is coming from there and not from a nearby point.
