Cause: The impeller is rubbing or there is air and scale accumulated in the pump body, which is forcing the motor.
Bleed the air from the circuit and the pump body itself using the bleed screw before replacing it.

The pump does not start after the summer or a long shutdown.
Cause: The shaft seizes due to sediment or lime buildup during inactivity.
Try to manually unlock the shaft with the front screw before considering the pump as faulty.

Water or moisture appears at the base of the pump, near the shaft.
Cause: The mechanical seal of the shaft has lost its tightness and is allowing water to pass through.
Dry the area and check if the leak reappears with the boiler running, to rule out that it is moisture from a recent bleed.
