Vaillant Turboblock VCM 180/1 X PCB Ref. 711450
If your boiler does not start, gets blocked, or shows erratic operation, you may need the Vaillant Turboblock VCM 180/1 X PCB, reference 711450. This part is responsible for controlling the ignition, burner modulation, pump, and safety features of the boiler. When it fails, you may experience faults such as F.61, F.62, F.63, F.64, or F.65. It is compatible with models from the Turboblock VCM range, such as the VCM 182/1 E, VCM 242/1 E, and VCM 180/1, among others. It is recommended to replace it if you notice these symptoms to restore the operation of your boiler.

How to check if ref. 130438 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference 130438. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the PCB 130438 resolves.
The PCB controls the ignition, modulation, and safety features of the boiler. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite in any mode: neither heating nor domestic hot water.
Cause: The central PCB does not send the ignition signal to the gas valve or the burner.
Check if resetting the panel solves the problem and verify that there are no visible blown fuses before replacing the PCB.
- 02
The panel displays a fault code that disappears when turning it off and on, but reappears after a while.
Cause: It is typical for a PCB to start failing intermittently before completely stopping functioning.
Keep a record of when the fault code appears: if it coincides with cold start or with the use of domestic hot water, it helps to confirm the diagnosis.
- 03
The remote control or the room thermostat occasionally loses connection with the boiler.
Cause: The communication module integrated into the PCB is intermittently failing.
Bring the remote closer to the boiler and check its batteries before blaming the PCB.
- 04
The fault indicator remains lit continuously and the reset does not turn it off.
Cause: The PCB detects an internal fault and keeps it locked until it is repaired or replaced.
Try the reset by holding it down for several seconds, not with a quick touch, before considering the PCB lost.
Fault codes from Vaillant that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| F.61 | Gas valve activation error. | The relay/output stage of the PCB (auxiliary/main) does not correctly switch the gas valve. Check the power supply to the valve at the terminals, continuity of the harness, and if everything is correct, replace the PCB to confirm. |
| F.62 | Delay in gas valve disconnection. | The PCB keeps the gas valve energized longer than it should (control/relay fault). Check that the valve closes properly and that the wiring is correct; if the issue persists, measure the control voltage and confirm by replacing the PCB. |
| F.63 | Fault: EEPROM (electronics). | Corruption/defect of the EEPROM memory on the PCB. Check resets and parameters; the standard check is to replace the board with a new or programmed one to rule out the fault. |
| F.64 | Fault in the electronics/NTC. | Fault in the measurement/ADC stage or sensor power supply on the PCB. Check NTC and wiring; if the sensors measure correctly but the fault code persists, the cause is the PCB. |
| F.65 | Fault: electronics temperature too high. | The thermal sensor on the PCB detects overheating or the PCB itself is damaged. Check ventilation/location and temperatures; if they are normal and the error repeats, replace the PCB. |
| F.67 | Fault: electronics/flame (flame signal not plausible). | The detection/ionization stage on the PCB delivers an incoherent signal. Check the electrode, cable, and polarity; if everything is correct, the fault is in the PCB. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
