Vaillant Thermomanometer VC / VCM / VMW Ref. 101558
Analog thermometer-manometer mounted on the boiler panel, with a dial indicating water temperature (approximately 0-120 °C) and circuit pressure (0-4 bar). It allows for a quick check to see if the system has sufficient pressure to operate. It should be checked or replaced when the needle does not indicate correctly, the glass is broken, or there is a leak at the circuit connection.

How to check if ref. 101558 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Locate the reference printed on the body of the pressure gauge you have installed: it should indicate 101558.
- Check your boiler model on the nameplate and look for it in the list of compatible models on this page.
- Compare the connections and the body with the original part before installing.
- If you have any doubts, send us a photo of the screen printing via WhatsApp and we'll confirm it for you before you purchase.
Symptoms and faults resolved by pressure gauge 101558
The pressure gauge shows the pressure of the boiler circuit. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
The pressure needle always shows the same reading, whether water is added or removed from the circuit.
Cause: The mechanism of the pressure gauge gets internally stuck and stops moving with the actual pressure changes.
Fill the system a bit with the filling key and check if the needle reacts before replacing the part.
Water is leaking on the panel, right in the area where the thermometer-manometer is mounted.
Cause: The connection of the thermometer-manometer to the circuit loses its seal with use, and water leaks through there.
Locate the exact point of the leak with dry paper before purchasing; it may be coming from a nearby valve and not from the pressure gauge itself.
The water temperature is not clearly visible on the dial, although the pressure can be read normally.
Cause: The temperature indicator and the pressure indicator share a dial but are independent mechanisms, and one can fail without the other.
Note if only the temperature needle fails or if the pressure needle does as well; this helps confirm if the entire part is needed.
The glass of the dial is broken or very scratched, and the reading is no longer distinguishable.
Cause: It is the most exposed part of the component, and a bump during an inspection or cleaning is usually the reason.
Check that the break is only in the glass and that the needle continues to move as the pressure changes.
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.

- The manufacturer of this part is not listed on the label or in external sources: the photographed unit does not have legible markings.
- The manufacturer's code or reference for the component is not known. The reference shown on the store's product sheet today cannot be considered valid: it is not confirmed by the label or any source.
- Before ordering, visually check the diameter of the gauge and the type of connection of your current thermometer-manometer, as there is no manufacturer data to verify it otherwise.
- The list of compatible boilers is long and includes very similar numbering variants (for example, VM 180 X versus VM 180/1 X); check the exact model, including the version slash, before ordering.
