Cause: This PCB distributes the power from the mains to the rest of the boiler; if the mains terminal or its fuse fails, no power reaches anything.
Before changing the PCB, measure with a multimeter that 230V is reaching the power terminal of the PCB itself.

The room thermostat does not turn on the boiler even though it is calling for heat.
Cause: The thermostat connects to the 24V control terminal of this PCB; if that stage fails, the demand does not reach the microprocessor even if the rest is functioning.
Directly bridge the 24V terminals of the thermostat on the PCB: if it starts like this, the fault is in the thermostat or its wiring, not in the PCB.

A fault code appears on the display and does not disappear no matter how many times the boiler is reset.
Cause: The microprocessor locks in safety mode when it detects an out-of-range reading from one of its sensors.
Note the exact code and rule out issues related to water pressure, sensor, or flue gas evacuation before declaring the PCB faulty.

The boiler turns on and off in short, repeated cycles.
Cause: A fault in the PCB in reading one of its sensors causes it to misinterpret the demand and cut the cycle short.
First, rule out a dirty or poorly positioned temperature sensor: it gives exactly the same symptom without the PCB being faulty.
