FIME Extractor for Fagor Boiler CE24E1N, FE24E1N, FE24NOX, and FEB24E1N - Ref. GR01635
The Fagor CE24E1N, FE24E1N, FE24NOX, and FEB24E1N boilers use the FIME extractor, a flue fan that evacuates combustion gases and generates the necessary draft for the boiler to start. When this part fails, it is likely that the boiler will not ignite or will lock out due to a fault in the flue gas evacuation, which may manifest with the fault code E8: Defective fan. This extractor is compatible with several models in the range, including CE24E1N and FE24E1N, among others. It is recommended to replace it when ignition or lockout issues due to flue gas evacuation occur.

How to check if ref. GR01635 is the part for your boiler
What determines it is not the boiler model, but the reference printed on the part you already have installed.
- Find the reference printed on the installed part and check whether it matches the catalogue reference GR01635. If it is not visible, do not identify the part from its shape alone.
- Check the full boiler model on its data plate and look for it in the model associations on this page.
- Compare the connections and physical body with the original part before installation.
- If anything is unclear, send us a photo of the marking via WhatsApp before placing your order.
Symptoms and faults that the extractor GR01635 resolves.
The extractor evacuates the combustion gases with forced draft. These are the typical symptoms and what to do:
Common symptoms and faults
- 01
The boiler does not ignite and shows a fault related to the fan.
Cause: The extractor does not provide the necessary flow for the air pressure switch to close the contact and allow ignition.
Check that the silicone tubes of the pressure switch are not blocked or sagging, and that the flue is clear before replacing the fan.
- 02
The extractor stops by itself or operates irregularly.
Cause: The motor exhibits intermittent faults, often due to bearing wear or a loose connection.
Check the connector and wiring of the extractor, and see if the rotation feels irregular to the touch.
- 03
Unusual noise or vibration is perceived in the extractor.
Cause: The impeller may be dirty with soot and unbalanced, or the bearing is worn out.
Clean the impeller of soot and dust, and check if the noise decreases before replacing the part.
- 04
The extractor does not start when requesting heating or domestic hot water.
Cause: The motor winding or the bearing is seized and does not pass the starting resistance.
With the boiler unplugged, try to turn the impeller by hand; if it is stiff or does not turn, confirm the mechanical fault.
Fault codes for Fagor that this part resolves.
| Code | Fault | Diagnosis and solution |
|---|---|---|
| E8 | Defective fan (extractor). | The extractor GR01635 does not start, does not stop, or delivers an incorrect rpm/tachometer signal; the PCB detects it and locks due to a ventilation fault. Check power supply to the fan, free rotation, and wiring/signal to the PCB and air pressure switch. |
These symptoms can have more than one cause. If your boiler displays a fault code, send it to us via WhatsApp along with a photo of the labeling, and we'll tell you if this is the part.
