  I turn on the hot water tap and the boiler does not ignite the burner.

  Cause: The flow meter does not detect the flow of water or its signal does not reach the control board, so the activation of domestic hot water is not ordered.

  Check that the cold water inlet filter is not clogged with limescale, as a reduced flow may not activate the sensor.

  The hot water comes out in bursts, with a flow that rises and falls without reason.

  Cause: The internal turbine of the flow meter rotates irregularly due to limescale or dirt deposits, sending an intermittent signal to the control board.

  Open the tap to maximum flow for a few seconds and check if the fault disappears; if the irregularity persists with stable flow, it points more to the sensor than to the installation.

  The boiler takes several extra seconds to provide hot water after turning on the tap.

  Cause: The flow meter needs a minimum sustained flow to confirm the demand before notifying the control unit, and if it is dirty, that threshold takes longer to be reached.

  Check the cold water inlet pressure with a manometer; low pressure delays detection even if the flow meter is in good condition.

  With the tap closed, the boiler keeps igniting the domestic hot water burner.

  Cause: The flow meter gets stuck in the 'flow detected' position and sends a continuous signal to the control board even when no water is flowing.

  Close the tap tightly and observe if the burner turns off by itself after a few seconds; if it does not turn off, the fault lies in the flow meter itself or its wiring.
