• 01

  The boiler ignites well for heating, but it does not provide domestic hot water.

  Cause: The flow meter is responsible for detecting the demand for domestic hot water; if it does not send a signal, the boiler does not switch to hot water mode.

  Check that the fault only occurs with domestic hot water and not with heating, to rule out a general problem with the PCB.

  A small bump or vibration is felt in the pipe when the tap is opened, before hot water comes out.

  Cause: The turbine of the flow meter may have abnormal friction due to limescale deposits, which delays the signal to the control unit.

  If the water in the area is hard, check for visible limescale in the inlet filter before replacing the part.

• 03

  The domestic hot water stops coming out after a few seconds and then comes back on its own.

  Cause: The flow meter intermittently loses the flow signal, usually due to a turbine that gets stuck and then frees itself.

  Close and open the tap several times in a row; if the fault changes according to the speed of opening, the problem is with the flow meter and not with the gas valve.

  There is no hot water coming out of any tap in the house, although the cold water works well in all of them.

  Cause: Without a signal from the flow meter, the boiler does not ignite the burner for domestic hot water at any tap.

  Before changing the flow meter, check the display for any fault code that indicates another source of the fault.
